An unidentified woman was seriously injured Saturday after she walked into the prop of a small airplane at a private airport in McKinney.

"The woman had gotten off a small prop plane when she walked into the prop," said Tony Molinaro, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration which is investigating the accident.

The woman, in her 20s, received severe injuries to her arm and head and was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital, Molinaro said.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Aero Country Airport, a 36-acre airport north of Virginia Parkway and east of Custer Road.
