IIson EROS, N4007B: Aircraft on takeoff force landed in a field - Schoolcraft, Michigan

 
An experimental plane was forced to make an emergency landing in some Christmas trees in Texas Township. (Aug. 12, 2012)

TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing near Kalamazoo. 

 Authorities on the scene said it was an experimental plane and that it was only in the air for a few seconds before the landing.

The plane landed into some Christmas trees in the 5700 block of West R Avenue in Texas Township.

The pilot lives near where the crash happened.

No one was hurt, but the plane sustained some damage.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department is investigating.

Japan Airlines Boeing 747-SR46, Flight 123: Crash victims mourned on 27th anniversary - August 12, 1985

 

UENO, Gunma (Jiji Press)--Families of people killed in the 1985 crash of a Japan Airlines jumbo jet gathered at the site of the disaster Sunday to remember their loved ones on the 27th anniversary of the accident. The crash left 520 passengers and crew members dead.

As of noon, 222 people from 49 families had taken the steep trail to the crash site on Osutaka Ridge in the village of Ueno, according to JAL.

The trail stretches about 800 meters to the monument that stands at the crash site.

After paying respects at memorial markers for individual victims along the trail, the mourners gathered in front of the monument and prayed for the repose of the victims' souls and the safety of air travel as a bell tolled.

"I feel she's close to me when I come here," said Akizo Izutani, 78, from Kawachi-Nagano, Osaka Prefecture, who lost his 20-year-old daughter Junko.

This is his 70th trip to the crash site, as he hikes up the trail on the anniversary day as well as in May and October every year. "I want to come as long as I'm able to walk," Izutani said.

Yutaka Ochi, 53, from Imabari, Ehime Prefecture, made the pilgrimage for the first time in a couple of years to mourn his elder sister Yoshiko, who was killed in the accident at age 28.

"I came to tell her about the death of my father and the birth of my first grandchild," Ochi said as he prayed in front of the memorial marker for his sister. "The accident should never be repeated. We must pass on this message in words."

Later Sunday, JAL President Yoshiharu Ueki and Gunma Gov. Masaaki Osawa were to climb to the crash site. A memorial ceremony was also be held at the foot of the mountain.

In the world's deadliest single-aircraft accident, JAL Flight 123, a Boeing 747 bound for Osaka, lost control after taking off from Haneda Airport and crashed into the mountain north of Tokyo on Aug. 12, 1985. Only four people on board survived.

Airplane catches fire before takeoff at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (KSEA), Seattle, Washington

United plane at Sea-Tac catches fire before takeoff; all passengers evacuated safely 

A United Airlines plane that was set to fly from Sea-Tac Airport to Washington, D.C., caught fire before takeoff Saturday night, but no one was hurt as all passengers were safely evacuated, Sea-Tac spokesman Perry Cooper said.

The Port of Seattle Fire Department responded to the report of a fire at 10:27 p.m., Cooper said.

They discovered flames coming from the auxiliary power unit of United flight 776, a Boeing 757 that was scheduled to depart at 10:30 p.m., bound for Dulles International Airport.

Firefighters extinguished the flames, and the plane was evacuated. A preliminary investigation indicated  that the fire might be traceable to residual oil in the auxiliary power unit, which is located in the plane’s tail, Cooper said.

The plane was towed to cargo services for further investigation.

United’s website indicated that the flight’s passengers were to be put on another plane, scheduled to leave before midnight. The plane that caught fire came to Sea-Tac from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, the airline’s website said.

This afternoon just after 1:35pm a plane crashed at Eryrys, to the west of Wrexham.   Eryrys is about five miles south of Mold and eight miles west of Wrexham out past Coedpoeth and is one of the highest villages in Wales.

 Pam Sheldon who took these photos and got in touch with Wrexham.com said “This gentleman was landing his Tiger Moth plane in the field behind ours but he overshot it and because of power lines he couldn’t pull up so tried to go between two trees but clipped one and crashed in our field.

“He had knocked on our door early to find the land owner for permission to land and took my number to text me when he was setting off so that I could take photos of him flying and landing.”

A ‘tiger moth’ plane is a 1930s biplane, with around 250 still flying today. 

Pam said “It was so scarey, i never want to see anything like that again. I am so happy no one was hurt though”.

NTSB investigators used data provided by various entities, including, but not limited to, the Federal Aviation Administration and/or the operator and did not travel in support of this investigation to prepare this aircraft accident report.

The pilot reported that after touching down the airplane tracked the centerline of the runway but eventually began to veer to the right. After correcting back to the centerline, a wind gust from the right caused the right wing to lift, which resulted in the airplane tracking to the left and eventually exiting the left side of the runway. With a fence now directly in the path and a collision imminent, the pilot initiated a go-around by applying full power and retracting the flaps from 40 degrees to 10 degrees. The pilot added that even though the airplane was airborne, he was unable to climb over the fence. The airplane impacted the top of the fence with its main landing gear and tailwheel before coming to rest wedged between a rock pile and the fence; it sustained substantial damage to the wings, fuselage, and horizontal stabilizer. The pilot reported no mechanical anomalies with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.

The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident to be:
The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during the landing roll in gusting wind conditions.

 UPLAND (CBSLA.com) — The pilot of a single-engine plane was not injured after crashing in Upland on Sunday. 

 Ian Gregor, a communications manager with the Federal Aviation Administration, said the accident involving the Cessna 180 occurred around noon near Cable Airport. The plane had departed from Camarillo.

According to Gregor, the plane had lost control on landing, went off the side of the runway and hit a fence.

Gregor said the pilot was the only person on board at the time. The plane was said to have been completely destroyed.

The pilot departed on a local flight during which the airplane experienced an in-flight separation of the propeller. The pilot then performed a forced landing to a field that resulted in substantial damage to the fuselage. Postaccident examination of the airplane revealed that the pilot installed the propeller bolts backwards. The bolts were also found to be improperly torqued.

The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident to be:
The pilot's improper installation of the propeller bolts, which resulted in the in-flight separation of the propeller.

On August 11, 2012, at 1600 central daylight time, a GN-1 Aircamper, N31TM, impacted terrain during a forced landing to a field near Burlington, Wisconsin, after the propeller with its bolts separated from the airplane during cruise flight. The certificated private pilot and a passenger received minor injuries. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage. The airplane was registered to and operated by the pilot under the provisions of 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 as a personal flight. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and a flight plan had not been filed for the local flight that departed from Burlington Municipal Airport, Burlington, Wisconsin, about 1500.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) inspector who examined the airplane, stated that the pilot shut down the engine two times when the he experienced an in-flight vibration during a local flight. The pilot then landed the airplane on a field. The propeller was found 500 yards from the airplane. The inspector stated that the pilot installed the propeller bolts backwards and they were not properly torqued. The tachometer time at the time of the accident was 607.9 hours.

The FAA inspector gave the pilot two National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Accident/Incident Report forms when he met the pilot. The pilot was also sent an NTSB Accident/Incident Report form by the NTSB Investigator-In-Charge. An NTSB Accident/Incident Report was not received from the pilot.

TOWN OF BURLINGTON — A small home-built plane made a crash landing Saturday afternoon near the Burlington Municipal Airport, according to officials from the Racine County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Aviation Administration.

The plane’s two passengers sustained minor cuts and bruises and declined medical treatment, said Sgt. Dan Hogan, of the Sheriff’s Office.

The plane’s male operator and female passenger, whose names were not being released Saturday, reportedly left from the Burlington airport, 703 Airport Road, for a pleasure flight. While in the air, they heard a strange sound, Hogan said.

“Maybe a popping sound,” he said. “The plane started to vibrate and at that point the operator knew he had to land the plane.”

The plane came down in a cornfield about two miles north of the airport, said Tony Molinaro, FAA spokesman.

A coronial inquest into the deaths of nine people, killed on a skydive plane crash at Fox Glacier, will be streamed live on the internet when it starts today.

Families from overseas who could not make it to New Zealand for the inquest requested the online broadcast so they could watch the proceedings.

Four international tourists were among those who died in the plane crash at the glacier in September 2010.

The inquest in Greymouth is set to hear at least four days of evidence, although a final list of witnesses could not be confirmed.

It will examine the circumstances surrounding the crash, and is expected to investigate regulation and protocol for adventure sports.

Earlier this year, the family of 24-year-old British tourist Bradley Coker, who was killed in the tragedy, said the deaths were "completely avoidable".

Bradley's father, Chris Coker, said he didn't want other parents to experience "a knock on the door at 5am" telling them their "beloved son" was dead.

He wrote to Prime Minister John Key requesting a review of aviation regulations, and launched a YouTube video and Facebook campaign critical of New Zealand's safety standards for adventure sports.

The Transport Accident Investigation Commission has already published its report into the Fox Glacier crash, finding that the plane was heavier than its maximum operating weight and that it was off balance.

The report revealed that only three months before the crash, the plane had been converted from an agricultural crop-duster to a parachute-drop plane by engineering company Super Air Limited.

"The modification ... had been poorly managed and discrepancies in the aeroplane documentation had not been detected by the Civil Aviation Authority which had approved the change in category," the report said.

New Zealanders killed in the Fox Glacier crash were pilot Chaminda Senadhira, 33, Skydive New Zealand director Rod Miller, 55, Australian-born Motueka man Adam Bennett, 47; New Plymouth man Michael Suter, 32; and Christopher McDonald, 62, from Mapua.

The other tourists who died were Irishman Patrick Byrne, 26, Australian man Glen Bourke, 18 and German Annika Kirsten, 23.

Pilot hava şartları için uyarıldı mı?

O gün bizim havaalanımızın kontrol sahası açıktı, bir problem yoktu ancak onların gittiği yol üzerinde vardı. Pilotlar, meteoroloji alırken, bu tip bulutlar olduğu zaman ona girmez etrafından dolaşırlar. Dolaşamıyorsa gitmezler. Bu tür bir bulutun içine hiçbiri girmez. Çünkü bu bulutları radarlarında görürler.

Babasıyla aynı gün öldü

Sinema ve turizm sektöründe faaliyet gösteren Prestige şirketinin sahibi Lisa Şener, uçuşunu bitirebilse, çok sevdiği babasının hayatını kaybettiği haberini alacaktı. Ancak elim kazada, babasının öldüğünü öğrenemeden aynı gün can verdi. Lisa Şener’in Balıkesir’de oturan ablası Sema Karahan, sabaha karşı saat 01.00’de babaları Sait Ayhan’ın Almanya’da kalp krizi geçirerek öldüğünü belirterek, “Lisa, babamıza çok düşkündü. Hem üzülmesin diye hem de uçuş yapacağı için söyleyemedim. İnince söyleyecektim” dedi.


 
Düşen Uçakla İlgili Soruşturma Başlatıldı

-tekirdağ'ın Marmara Ereğlisi İlçesi açıklarında denize düşen ve içindeki öğretmen pilot Hikmet Aral ve öğrenci pilot Lisa Şener'in hayatını kaybettiği uçağın gövdesinin çıkartılması için çalışmalar sürüyor. Uçağın kıyıdaki BOTAŞ Dolum Tesisleri'ne 2 mil uzakta düşmesi ilçede panik yaşanmasına neden oldu. Yetkililer, uçağın denize değil de BOTAŞ tesisine düşmesi halinde büyük can ve mal kaybı olabileceğini; olası bir faciadan kıl payı kurtulduklarını söyledi.

 İstanbul Büyükçekmece'deki Hezarfen Havaalanı'ndan kalkan 'TC-SAS' tescilli 'Cirrus' tipi tek motorlu uçak, Edremit'e giderken dün saat 14.40 sıralarında Tekirdağ'ın Marmara Ereğlisi İlçesi'nde kıyıdan 2,5 mil açıkta denize çakıldı. Sahil Güvenlik ve Tekirdağ Emniyet Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı Deniz Polisi ekipleri, yapılan arama çalışmalarının ardından akşam saatlerinde öğretmen pilot Hikmet Aral ve öğrenci pilot Lisa Şener'in cesetlerine ulaştı. Denizden çıkartılan cesetler, otopsi için İstanbul Adli Tıp Kurumu'na gönderildi.

Dün yapılan arama ve kurtarma çalışmalarında uçağın parçalanan kanatları ve bazı parçaları su yüzeyinden alınarak karaya çıkartıldı. Bugün de İstanbul Boğaz Komutanlığı'na bağlı Su Altı Ekibi ve Tekirdağ Emniyet Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı Deniz Polisi ekipleri uçağın gövdesini çıkartmak için çalışmalarına devam etti.

Öte yandan Marmara Ereğlisi Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı, uçağın düşüş nedeninin belirlenmesi için soruşturma başlattı. Soruşturma kapsamında uçak pilotlarının Çorlu Havaalanı'ndaki kule ile irtibat kurulup kurulmadığı da araştırıldı. Araştırma sonucunda pilotların kule ile görüşmediği belirlendi.

Denizdeki parçalar çağırılan römorkor aracılığı ile çıkarılarak uzmanların incelemesine sunulacak.

Marmara Ereğlisi açıklarında düşen uçaktaki öğretmen pilot Hikmet Aral ile öğrenci pilot Lisa Şener'in dün denizde bulunmasından sonra cesetleri üzerinde ilk otopsi yapıldı. Uzmanlar, Marmara Bölgesi'ni bugün etkisi altına alan ve 'CB' olarak adlandırılan elektrik yüklü 'cumulonimbus' bulutlarının bölgede yoğun olarak bulunduğuna dikkat çekti. Aynı zamanda çevresinde yüksek türbülans oluşturan bu bulutlar, her türlü hava aracının uçuşunu etkiliyor. Pilotlar uçuş emniyeti için bu tür bulutların etrafından dolaşıyor.

Yağışla birlikte yıldırım riskine de dikkat çeken uzmanlar, uçağa isabet edebilecek yıldırım nedeniyle SR-22 tipi uçağın elektronik sistemlerinin hasar görebileceğini belirtiyor. Yeni nesil teknolojilere sahip yüksek performanslı uçakta pilotlar tüm verileri ekranlardan takip ediyor.

Kazanın asıl nedeni veya nedenlerinin Sivil Havacılık Genel Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı Kaza Kırım Araştırma Ekibi tarafından yapılacak incelemeyle ortaya çıkabileceğini belirten uzmanlar, pilotların bu tür uçuş şartlarında kontrollerini kaybetmiş olabileceğini işaret ediyor.

PİLOT LİSANSINI YENİ ALMIŞTI
39 yaşındaki Lisa Şener, geçtiğimiz günlerde 50 saatlik uçuş eğitimini başarıyla tamamlayarak Özel Pilot Lisansı (PPL) almaya hak kazanmıştı. Uçuş saati ve tecrübesini artırmak üzere sahip olduğu TC-SAS tescilli uçağıyla öğretmen pilotlarla uçuşlarına devam ediyordu.

Bodrum ve Edremit'e sık sık uçan Lisa Şener, Ayvalık'ta oturan ablasını ziyaret etmeye gidiyordu.

6 BİN SAAT UÇUŞ TECRÜBESİ VARDI
65 yaşındaki öğretmen pilot Hikmet Aral, Kara Kuvvetleri'nden yarbay rütbesiyle emekli olduktan sonra havacılığa merak sardı. Pilot olmamasına rağmen, Hezarfen'de Top Service şirketinden, önce Özel Pilot Lisansı aldı. Daha sonra eğitimini tamamlayarak CPL olarak adlandırılan Ticari Pilot Lisansı ve arkasından öğretmenlik yetkisi aldı. 15 yıldır öğretmen pilotluk yapan Aral'ın toplam 6 bin saat uçuş tecrübesi bulunuyordu.

PARAŞÜTLÜ UÇAK CIRRUS
Amerikan Cirrus Aircraft tasarımı olan SR-22 tipi tek motorlu uçağın imalatı 2001'de başladı. Tek piston motora sahip uçağın gövdesi tamamen kompozit. 310 beyygir gücünde motora sahip uçak, saatte 343 kilometre hıza çıkabiliyor. İki pilot ve iki yolcu, toplam 4 kişilik uçağın menzili ise 1943 kilometre.

Satış fiyatı özelliklerine bağlı olarak 619 bin ila 709 bin dolar
arasında değişen uçakta acil durumlarda kullanılmak üzere özel bir
paraşüt sistemi bulunuyor. Pilotlar başta motor durması olmak üzere acil
 durumlarda paraşüt sistemini çalıştırıyor. Kokpitin hemen arkasındaki
sistem, özel bir roket yardımı ile fırlayarak paraşütü açıyor. Uçağın
yere emniyetle inmesi sağlanıyor. Ancak, bu kazada paraşüt sisteminin
devreye girip girmediği  bilinmiyor.

Two pilots were killed after a small plane crashed into the Marmara Sea off the coast of Tekirdağ province in Turkey’s northwest today, Hurriyet reports.

Search and rescue teams found the bodies of pilot Hikmet Arat and pilot-in-training Liza Şenel, broadcaster Habertürk reported.

The Cirrus SR22 plane reportedly lost contact with air traffic control about five miles outside of Marmara Ereğli.

 
Hazarfen Havaalanı’ndan havalanan TC SAS kuyruk tescilli SR22 tipi tek motorlu pervaneli uçağın radardan çıktığı öğrenildi. Marmara Ereğilisi mevkiinde Botaş açıklarında denize düşen uçaktaki Liza Şener ve henüz ismi öğrenilemeyen bir kişi hayatını kaybetti. Lisa Şenel, Mayıs ayında, Güntay Şimşek’in hazırladığı ve Habertürk’te yayınlanan Airport adlı programa da konuk olmuştu.

Rescue teams are conducting a search in the Marmara Ereğli district of Tekirdağ Province to locate the wreckage of a training plane that lost contact with air traffic control, Doğan news agency has reported.

The Cirrus aircraft crew included pilot Hikmet Aral and pilot-in-training Liza Şener.The plane reportedly lost contact with air control about five miles outside of Marmara Ereğli.

TC-CAS Cirrus SR22  is registered from airport Hazarfen. Falling into the sea area off the plane, Lisa Botas Marmara Ereğilisi Sener and have not yet lost their lives in the name of a öğrenilemeyen. Arama çalışmalarına sahil güvenlik ekipleri, bir helikopter ve balıkçılar da katılırken; ilk önce uçağın parçalarına, akşam saatlerinde de öğretmen Pilot Hikmet Aral ve Öğrenci Pilot Liza Şener'in cesetlerine ulaşıldı.

GÖRGÜ TANIĞI
Bu arada, Mürüvet Ertaşır adlı bir kişi, kızını aramak için sahile geldiği sırada uçağın düşüşüne şahit olduğunu söyledi.

Kötü hava şartlarına dikkati çeken Ertaşır, ''Ortalık fırtına ve yağmurdan gözükmüyordu, alev topu gibi uçak düştü. Uçağa yıldırım çarptı sanıyorum, çok korktum'' diye konuştu.

Lisa Şener ve bir öğretmen pilotun içinde bulunduğu uçak Tekirdağ'ın Marmara Ereğlisi açıklarında denize düştü.

Çeşitli kentlerde 90 sinema salonu bulunan Prestige Group Sinemaları'nın İşletme Sahibi olan Lisa Şener'in tam bir uçuş tutkunu olduğu biliniyor. Uçmanın en büyük hobisi olduğunu anlatan Lisa Şener, ofisinden çıktıktan sonra eğitimlere gittiğini ve uçmaya başladığını anlatmıştı.

İş kadını olduğu için Türkiye'nin tüm şehirlerine uçmak zorunda kaldığını ancak havaalanlarına bağlı kalmak istemediğini belirten Şener, uçuş eğitiminin ardından bütün şehirlere yalnız uçacağını belirtmişti.

Şener ayrıca uçuşlarıyla ilgili görüntüleri sosyal paylaşım sitesi youtube'da paylaşmayı da çok seviyordu.

Marmara Ereğlisi'ne düşen uçakta bulunan Lisa Şener'in cansız bedeni Emniyet Müdürlüğü Su altı ekipleri tarafından bulunarak Balıkçı teknesine çıkarıldı. Bedenin parçalanmış bir şekilde bulunduğu belirtildi. Lisa Şener'in videolarının altına sevenlerinin taziye mesajları yazmaya başladığı görüldü.

MARMARA EREĞLİSİ'NDE UÇAK DÜŞTÜ

Lisa Şener Acı Haberi Öğrenemeden Öldü Uçak kazasında ölen işkadını Lisa Şener'in cenazesi toprağa verildi.

İstanbul Marmara Ereğlisi açıklarında düşen eğitim uçağında hayatını kaybeden Lisa Şener'in cenaze törenine, ailesi, yakınları ve vatandaşlar katıldı. 

Şener'in cenazesi, Bahçeşehir Camii'nde ikindi vakti kılınan namazın ardından, Esenyurt Gülbahçe mezarlığında toprağa verildi.

Lisa Şener'in babasının da aynı gün Almanya'da hayatını kaybettiği, ancak ölüm haberinin kendisinden gizlendiği öğrenildi.

Şener ve hocası Hikmet Aral, İstanbul'dan kalktıktan kısa süre sonra Marmara Ereğlisi açıklarında düşen eğitim uçağında hayatını kaybetmişti.
