Rabbits living near the Denver International Airport in Colorado are crawling underneath parked cars and chewing away brake lines and wiring, CBS4 reports.

The hungry hares’ appetites are taking a big chunk out of people’s wallets, as auto repair shops in the area say they can do damage worth thousands of dollars.

The airport told CBS4 that agents from the United States Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services patrol the parking lots and remove any rabbits they find, but few have complained about car problems.
