Long EZ: Pilot Identified In Plane Crash, 58-Year-Old Texas Resident, Donald Brewster Dead At The Scene.

Sheriff's investigators in Kane County have identified the pilot killed Sunday night when his small plane crashed outside of Kanab.

Authorities say 58-year-old Donald Brewster of El Paso, Texas, died when his plane went down five miles north of the Kanab airport. The wreckage was discovered around 7 pm.

Brewster was flying solo from Bryce Canyon to Kanab at the time of the crash.

According to Federal Aviation Administration records, Brewster was known to have piloted a LongEZ experimental aircraft.

It's unclear if that was the plane he was flying over the weekend.

Investigators from the FAA have been called to the scene. It will likely be several weeks before they officially determine the cause of the accident.
