Crazy trip: Plane stuck in mud at Cleveland airport. Cleveland Browns - blog

The Browns team charter flight here Saturday was delayed about four hours after the pilot directed the plane into an area of mud near one of the runways at the Cleveland airport.

Players and coaches had to remain on the plane for several hours while workers struggled to remove the it from the area. Once the plane was on concrete, airline officials couldn't guarantee the team that no damage had been done to the tire that was stuck in the mud.

The decision was then made to switch to another plane. The problem was that instead flying on a roomy 737, the team flew on a smaller plane.

Needless to say, there were many unhappy players and a very unhappy head coach as they all squeezed onto a smaller aircraft.

The team arrived here at about 7:30 p.m., close to four hours later than planned. That didn't allow much time for the players to get in some personal time, a meal and attend required meetings.

Many of the players wanted to watch the fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Victor Ortiz.
