On April 28, 2019, at 1337 Pacific daylight time, a Boeing A75N1, biplane, N68825, collided with terrain during an emergency landing, following a total loss of engine power near Sequim Washington. The airline transport pilot and passenger sustained minor injuries. The airplane sustained substantial damage. The airplane was registered to Port Townsend Aero Museum and operated by the pilot as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. Visual meteorological conditions existed about the time of the accident and no flight plan had been filed for the local flight. The flight originated from Jefferson County International Airport (0S9) about 1328.

The pilot report that, while at 1,200 ft mean sea level (MSL), about 5 miles west of the departure airport, he smelled burning oil and observed spraying oil and light oil smoke. He added that, there was an engine vibration and that the windscreen, his face, and his goggles were covered in oil. Subsequently, he elected to do an emergency landing onto a beach.

During the approach to final for landing the engine experienced a total loss of power. During touchdown the right wing and right main landing gear impacted the water and the airplane spun around about 90°.

The airplane was transported to a secure facility for further investigation.
