Black Hawk Radio Control Pilots sponsor an air show in the UNI-Dome

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The public is invited to the 11th annual radio-control air show in the UNI-Dome at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The show, sponsored by the Black Hawk Radio Control Pilots, will feature pilots and aircraft from Iowa and surrounding states performing aerobatic flying maneuvers, air races, aerial combat, flight demonstrations and scale model aircraft dating from Wordl War I to the present.

There will also be open flying from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Spectator admission is $5. Children 12 and under are free. Any adult or youth in a U.S. military or Scout uniform will be admitted for free.

New this year will be a free "build and fly" event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for children. Materials and instruction will be provided for each participant to build a Foam Plate Glider model 9 (FPG-9).
