Madison flights not delayed by first major snowstorm of season hitting Denver

Flights between the Dane County Regional Airport and Denver are not being affected so far by the first major snowstorm of the season to hit the Mile High City.

The storm has dumped up to 12 inches of snow in the Colorado Rockies, the National Weather Service said as it issued a winter storm warning for Denver, with 4 to 6 inches of snow possible in the city.

Frontier Airlines and United Express have flights between Madison and Denver, but airport spokesman Brent McHenry told madison.com there have been no flight delays either coming or going because of the storm.

"There's been a few minor delays of a couple of minutes from the West in general, but nothing major," McHenry said. "All outbound flights (from the Dane County Regional Airport) are on time."

Arrivals and departures at the airport can be found here.

Airline officials also suggest checking with your carrier for updates.
