Unruly passenger forces flight to land in Winnipeg, Canada

WINNIPEG — An Air Canada flight from Edmonton has been forced to make an emergency landing in Winnipeg because of an aggressive passenger.

The plane was on its way to Toronto when airline officials say a passenger became physically and verbally abusive.

Police say charges are expected.

Other people on the flight had to restrain the passenger until Winnipeg police could step in once the plane landed.

There were no injuries and the flight continued on to Toronto
