Mechanical problem turns around Delta flight. Raleigh-Durham International Airport (KRDU), North Carolina.

Morrisville, N.C. — A plane flying out of Raleigh Durham International Airport had to be turned around shortly after take-off Tuesday night due to a mechanical problem, airport officials said.

The Delta flight, which was headed to Minneapolis, landed back at RDU without incident around 9 p.m. It took off again a little more than an hour later.

An airport spokesman said the landing was just a precaution and that the mechanical problem was minor.
