An emergency was declared after a smoke alarm activated on a passenger aircraft with nearly 150 passengers on board.
The Boeing 737 was flying from Copenhagen to Iceland when it was forced to divert to Inverness airport at about 16:00 on Sunday.
A spokesman for Highlands and Islands Airports Limited said all those on board were safe and well.
The alarm indicated a problem with the aircraft's hold and an inspection was carried out at Inverness.
