Columbus Airport (KCSG) to receive $750,000 grant

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

More improvements are on their way to the Columbus Airport with a $750,000 grant from Federal Department of Transportation (DOT).

The funding will come from the Small Community Air Service Development Program, which is annually approved by Congress and designed to help small communities address air service and airfare issues.

According to Columbus Airport Director Richard Howell, the Commission plans to use the funds to attract additional air service to the Columbus Airport by providing a revenue guarantee and marketing support.
