Cape Air apologizes for lack of reliable service

Cape Air yesterday apologized for the lack of reliable service to the CNMI, but said it is doing its best to get the maintenance check on its aircraft done as fast as possible.

Andrew W. Bonney, senior vice president of planning for Cape Air, told the Saipan Chamber of Commerce general meeting that their company invests heavily in maintenance for the safety of their aircraft.

He said two aircraft operate here — one for the regular routes and the other as a spare to ensure reliability. Due to the scheduled maintenance check on one aircraft, only one is left.
