The landing gear collapsed on a plane at the San Carlos Airport this weekend, according to Pilot Steve Gauvin.

Gauvin said the plane is a Beechcraft Duchess and was operated by Bel-Air, which offers training programs for flight instructors.

Airport authorities did not respond to inquiries about the reasons why the gear failed.
