Belfast City Airport : De-icer malfunction delays city flights

A malfunction with Flybe's de-icing equipment has delayed eight flights from the George Best Belfast City Airport on Monday morning, following overnight snowfall across Northern Ireland.

The carrier has apologized unreservedly for the "technical issues" which it hopes will be fixed by 11.30am.

A statement said: "Flybe can confirm that it has experienced technical issues with its de-icing equipment this morning at George Best Belfast City Airport.

"The malfunction of our machine has caused a number of flights to be delayed and we apologize unreservedly to all passengers who have been inconvenienced."
