Robin Hood Airport owners press for no rise in air passenger tax

THE owners of Robin Hood Airport have again called on the Government to avoid any increase in taxes on airline passengers.

Peel Airports has written to Business Secretary Vince Cable urging him to back calls for no more increases in Air Passenger Duty. It fears the Government is going to announce a double-inflation rise.

Peel says any rises would be damaging because the aviation industry sustains thousands of jobs and contributes millions of pounds to Doncaster’s economy.
