My neighborhood hospital and chopper!
A Virtua Hospital's SouthStar Medical Helicopter landed on the grounds of Mercer County Technical Schools' Assunpink Center in West Windsor on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 so that Health Science Academy and Diesel Technology students could learn first-hand about the helicopter, medical team and state police pilots. Based at Virtua Voorhees, the SouthStar helicopter is staffed by two State police pilots, a flight nurse and a flight paramedic. The team provides airborne emergency medical services 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
