Eek! Mouse in pantry halts Nepal flight to Bangkok. Nepal Airlines Corporation’s Boeing 757 9N-ACB.

KATHMANDU, Sept 5: The Nepal Airlines Corporation’s flight from Kathmandu to Bangkok was cancelled after a mouse was spotted on the airline’s Boeing 757 9N-ACB plane at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday morning.

It is said the flight scheduled for 9:00 am (local time), which was to carry 133 passengers, had to be grounded just when it was about to leave for the Thai capital after the mouse, all of a sudden, jumped out of a food tray and disappeared into the rear of the aircraft.

Mousetraps have been laid in the aircraft to catch the mouse after it could not be hunted down for almost one-and-a-half hours. It has been informed that the plane will not take off until the mouse is removed from it for *safety reasons.

With the cancellation of the flight, another NAC flight to Malaysia has been affected as the same aircraft was to fly to Kuala Lumpur scheduled for this evening.

It was NAC’s one of the two aircraft operating on international routes. The other aircraft is currently in Israel for maintenance for three weeks.
