LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Emergency crews in LaRue County are on the scene of a small plane that crashed in front of a school.
According to Sam Sanders, superintendent of LaRue County schools, the plane landed 3:30 p.m. in front of Abraham Lincoln Elementary School on Lincoln Farm Road in Hodgenville.
Sanders said three people were onboard the aircraft and several medial helicopters have been called to the scene.
School was in session Monday in LaRue County, but classes had been dismissed for the day when the incident occurred.
