ARLINGTON, Va. (ABC7) — A man was caught trying to bring a loaded gun with a bullet in the chamber onto a plane at Reagan National Airport on Thursday, according to authorities.The Transportation Security Administration says their officers stopped a Manassas man at a checkpoint after they found the loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun in his carry-on luggage.
The gun was loaded with seven bullets, officials say.
Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police were called to the airport, confiscated the gun and then cited the man on a state weapons charge.
