Instead of watching it on the Food Network, experience for yourself what the newest culinary trend — food trucks — is all about. Get your tickets to Durand Foundation's First Gourmet on the Runway Food Truck Fête on June 6 at the Flying W Airport.
The airport and resort will be filled with an eclectic mix of food trucks: Surf and Turf Truck's menu features lobster rolls and Rosemary Steaks; Guerilla Ultima, will be making brisket sliders and smoked pork shoulders; Mac Mart Cart plans to serve a wide variety of macaroni and cheese; and true to its name, the Tot Cart will be providing an array of different kinds of potato tots.
Eddie Berner, former lead guitarist of A Flock of Seagulls and local rock star, will travel in his food truck, the Rockin' Road Grill, and will perform live music at the event. A DJ from Center Stage Entertainment will provide music as well.
Proceeds from the party benefit the Durand Foundation's many programs. The 42-year-old organization is dedicated to helping South Jersey individuals with learning disorders, autism and other developmental disorders.
The fête is from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets for general seating are $125 per person and reserved VIP seating is $150 per person. VIP tables for 10 people are discounted to $1,250. Tickets can be purchased at durandfoundation.org
The Flying W is located at 60 Fostertown Road in Medford. For more information, visit the Durand Foundation's website or call 856-235-3540, ext. 101.
