Bill Lear and the Founding of Learjet

by Kenney TV online on Mar 1, 2012

"This video was provided to me by my late neighbor, William Lear Jr..  It appears to be a public domain public relations film that pays a wonderful tribute to the genius of his father Bill Lear Sr.. It tells the story of Lear's efforts inventing the car radio and founding Motorola, his invention of the auto-pilot and the eight track tape and best of all, the LearJet. It is a remarkable story of a man who followed his passions in life. If you care at all about aviation, invention or the challenges of bootstrapping a business, you will love this clip. It Includes interviews with the original employees and vintage footage of the very first test flights."
