Unmanned aircraft to fly in British skies?

The UK's emergency services are exploring ways of using military surveillance technology to enhance their performance.

Unmanned aircraft are already in use to help firefighters and to monitor natural disasters, and could be used to help police rioting or crime in the future.

It would give expensive military equipment a second life, once its operational duties are complete.
