Frontier Spokesanimals Step off Plane Tails in New Ad Campaign. Griz and the gang promote F9 fare advantage

DENVER, Sep 19, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Thanks to years of memorable advertising, Frontier's spokesanimals hold a special place in the hearts of the airline's customers and employees. Now they're being put to work to share one of Frontier's key selling benefits -- its low fare advantage versus the competition. And they're coming off the aircraft tails to do it.

The new campaign, with the tagline "Fares so low everyone's flying," features Griz, Jack, Larry and the gang taking advantage of Frontier's low fares to take a few trips of their own -- to an amusement park, a business meeting and even Jack's childhood rabbit hole.

According to Jim Reichart, Frontier's vice president of marketing and sales, the campaign is supported by hard facts. "Recent Department of Transportation fare data confirms that Frontier had the lowest average fare on nearly every nonstop route we serve from Denver, Milwaukee and Kansas City. While our competitors spend their time creating the perception of low fares, it turns out we own the reality."

He added that having the animals move off the aircraft and into the world wasn't a decision made lightly. "We're careful to always strike the right balance between preserving the character of the campaign and keeping it fresh. As all of our marketing resources need to work a little harder these days, we felt it was okay for the spokesanimals to work a little harder, too."

Look for the new advertising starting Monday, Sept. 19 in Denver, Milwaukee and Kansas City, with appearances on television, radio, outdoor, online and email.
