JACKSONVILLE, Ark. -- Little Rock Air Force Base is making room for aircraft and airmen evacuating from New Jersey because of Hurricane Irene.
The base announced that four C-17 aircraft and about 150 airmen from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst were due Friday at the base in Jacksonville.
Irene is taking aim at the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and is forecast to rake the East Coast as the storm heads north.
