WESLEY CHAPEL, Florida - A Cessna 150L had to make an emergency landing at the entrance to Estancia at Wiregrass and Persimmon Park Communities in Wesley Chapel on Christmas Day. There was minor damage to the plane but no one was injured. 

The plane was reported to have a mechanical failure and used Chancey Blvd as an emergency landing strip. 

According to witnesses, the plane landed directly on the roadway without any issues other than striking a small tree.

First responders are on scene attempting to remove the plane from the roadway. 

UPDATE 11:00 PM:  The plane was moved to the dead end of Chancey Road at Wiregrass Ranch Blvd awaiting a long term solution.
