DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT: Rotorcraft ran out of fuel in Holland, Indiana
DAMAGE: The damage includes but may not be limited to:
The skid/landing gear are splayed
There is fuselage buckling on the left and right side of the aircraft indicating fuselage frame damage on both sides
The left windshield fractured due to the force of the impact
The tail skid is bent
The pilot’s seat is collapsed
The right cabin door does not shut flush indicating frame alignment issues
A hard landing inspection, as outlined in the Robinson Maintenance Manual, will be required
There is firewall damage
The main rotor blades have signatures of over flexing damage
The Simplex carbon fiber spray system tank is fractured
The spray bars are bent.
