No one was injured when a Piper PA-28R-201 Cherokee landed safely at Kalaeloa with its retractable landing gear in the up position, Federal Aviation Administration officials said Tuesday.

The FAA is investigating the incident which occurred at 5:30 p.m. Monday at John Rodgers Field.

The pilot was the only person on the four-seat aircraft, which suffered minor damage.

The 13-year-old aircraft is registered to George's Aviation Services on Lagoon Drive.
