A military cargo plane
crashed in downtown Yemen's capital Sanaa early on Wednesday killing
the 10-member crew, security sources said.
A technical problem
was behind the crash that occurred in Al-Hasaba district, the sources
said, adding the captain Muhammad Al-Khawaja and nine other crew members
died immediately.
"The empty transport plane, Antonov, was on
training and the captain managed to come down in an unpopulated area,"
the sources said.
The accident was reported about ten minutes after it took off from Sanaa International Airport, they added.
