JetBlue Plane Engine Catches Fire at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (KBWI), Baltimore, Maryland

BALTIMORE (WUSA) -- Firefighters responded to Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport on Wednesday for an engine fire on a JetBlue flight. WJZ said that JetBlue Flight 1329 was flying to Baltimore from Boston when there was a small engine fire shortly before 11:30 a.m. 

The plane landed safely and no one was hurt. Passengers were taken off the plane at Concourse D, reports WJZ.

BWI Fire Department extinguished the fire. Sky 9 hovered over the scene and got video of the plane and foam on the ground.

We are told there was no impact on arriving or department flights due to the engine fire.

A small fire broke out in the engine of JetBlue flight that landed at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport late Wednesday morning, airport officials say.

BWI Airport officials say that after JetBlue flight 1326 from Boston Logan International Airport landed just before 11:30 a.m., a small engine fire was reported. 

 Once the plane taxied to the gate, airport firefighters were able to put out the fire. 

No passengers or crew were hurt, nor was there any disruption to any other flights. 

The plane involved in the incident is an Embraer ERJ-190 aircraft.
