A pilot who reported having engine problems Tuesday landed safely at the Northwest Alabama Regional Airport in Muscle Shoals.
Airport Director Barry Griffith said the pilot of a single-engine Cessna 150 reported problems about 1:20 p.m., and landed safely at the airport about 30 minutes later.
Griffith said the Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting engines along with other Muscle Shoals Fire Department equipment were alerted and mobilized as a precaution.
Greg Kennedy, the lieutenant over Fire Station Number 2, said the airport notified him of the situation at 1:33 p.m. Station 2 is at the airport.
"We were there just in case," Kennedy said.
Kennedy said he did not know the aircraft's destination or where the pilot lives.
