Victory Jet, an Atlanta-based air-charter company that leased space at the Piedmont Triad International Airport last year, has filed for Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy.
The filing comes a year after it announced plans to offer charters to wealthy individuals, pro-sports teams, touring bands and other clients. Victory Jet planned to use PTI as its base for a 64-seat Boeing 737-300 plane operated by Swift Air LLC of Phoenix.
A filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of North Carolina indicates Victory Jet has $7,833 in assets and $3.47 million in debts.
