Jet2.com to increase capacity to Cyprus in 2012

Tour operator Jet2holidays and leisure airline Jet2.com operating from the north of England plan to increase their business to Cyprus next summer.

Jet2.com, departing from Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, East Midlands and Glasgow, will resume its summer operations on April 1, 2012 and continue to the end of November. In 2011 the airline increased its capacity by 50% with two new destinations from Manchester and Glasgow, flying in 82,440 passengers to Cyprus. This figure is to grow to 88,000 in 2012 with the launch of an additional Manchester service to Larnaca.

Jet2holidays said it is committed to growth in Cyprus for 2012 with a 69% increase expected. It offers 22kg baggage allowance, plus 10kg hand baggage, allocated seats and accommodation in 2-5 star hotels.

Jet2.com is a subsidiary of the Dart Group plc, the aviation services and distribution group with 30 years’ commercial aviation experience.
