City Commission to look at new T-hangars, fire sub-station, Legion lease Monday. Captain Jack Thomas/El Dorado Airport (KEQA), El Dorado, Kansas.

The El Dorado City Commission has a full agenda for its meeting Monday evening.

Among the items is a discussion about construction of additional T-hangars at the airport. Last October, the Airport Advisory Board supported the construction of the new hangars and the current bonds of the first set of hangers have now been paid off. The commission will be voting on whether to bid construction for the project.

In addition, they will consider bids for the new El Dorado fire sub-station and Butler Community College training facility project. The city received a total of nine bids for the project.

In other business, the commission will:

• consider a property release for 7.994 acres from the lease between the American Legion and city for student housing for Butler Community College.

• hold the final public hearing on the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Revolving Loan Fund for the wind turbine project.

• hear a review of the last five years of sales tax special projects.

• consider a consent annexation from a future industrial client who is planning to be annexed.

• receive the city manager’s report.

• meet in executive session to discuss legal matters.

The commission will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
