Anonymous Airport Donor Identified. Rapid City Regional Airport (KRAP), South Dakota.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - The anonymous donor who gave $100,000 to the Rapid City Regional Airport for public art in the new terminal building has been revealed.

The Dakota Charitable Foundation acknowledged it made the donation after concerns were raised about the donor's identity.

Ray Hillenbrand, owner of Prairie Edge Trading Co. & Galleries, is the president of the foundation. Hillenbrand is also the chairman of Destination Rapid City, the downtown economic development group founded in 2008 that is building Main Street Square.

The donation will help pay for five art pieces to be unveiled next year as part of a $20 million renovation and expansion project at the airport terminal. The airport is also contributing $150,000 for the artwork.
