ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com)— Lambert officials confirm US Airways flight 457 bound from JFK in New York City to Phoenix has been diverted to Lambert Airport in St. Louis for a "security related incident".

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials say that three passengers were taken off of the plane for exhibiting suspicious activity.

"Police came in and took three men from row nine. The men did not seem surprised that they were being arrested." said US Airways 457 passenger Kevin Faley.

The flight landed at about 8am. 128 passengers were taken off of the plane immediately. There were five crew members aboard the aircraft. Federal authorities have been notified. There is no word yet if police have taken anyone into custody.

Passengers are waiting in Concourse A to re-board the plane. The plane has been inspected and will continue to Pheonix later today.

This news comes days after the decade anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks in New York City. Security has been in a heightened state as officials have received numerous threats surrounding the anniversary of the attacks that used commercial airplanes to topple the twin towers in New York City.
