FRESNO, Calif. -- A small plane force landed Friday night in a field in West Fresno.

Officials with the Fresno Fire Department confirmed a Cessna 182Q Skylane landed in a field near Marks Ave. and Freeway 180 shortly before 5 p.m.

The pilot was the only person on board and wasn't injured in the emergency landing,  fire officials said. 

An investigation is underway and no other information was immediately available.
