PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (WSVN) -- A small plane on a runway at North Perry Airport had landing gear issues, Tuesday afternoon.

7's Skyforce HD hovered above the twin engine aircraft, at around 4:30 p.m., after Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue, ramp police and patrol officials had responded to the scene.

Officials said the plane's right landing gear collapsed at it landed. They said the right wing and the propeller gave way when the plane landed.

Two men were on board and were able to exit the aircraft safely. The plane is registered from Colombia.

Officials stabilized the wing before towing the plane off the runway.

No airport operations were affected due to the rough landing. The other three runways are in full operation.

An investigation into the cause of the landing gear collapse is underway.

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. - A small plane had problems with its landing gear when it landed Tuesday at North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines.

Sky 10 was above the scene at 4:30 p.m. as the plane was parked on its side. 


A Federal Aviation Administration representative said the Piper PA 34's right main gear collapsed while landing on the runway at 4:17 p.m.


The FAA is investigating the incident.


No injuries were reported.
