Lambton OPP responded to an agricultural field in the 2200-block of Oil Springs Line around 11am Sunday after a plane flipped making an emergency landing.  

St. Clair Township Fire Services and Lambton EMS also responded.

The pilot was transported to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.

Police say the man, who was alone in the four seater aircraft, experienced in-flight problems that required him to perform an emergency landing in the field.

There was no one on the ground injured during the incident.

Lambton OPP closed the intersection of Oil Springs Line and Telfer Rd. but had cleared from the scene within a couple of hours.

Transport Canada has been advised of the incident and the investigation is continuing.

The pilot of a small aircraft suffered minor injuries this morning after making an emergency landing in a St. Clair Township field.

Lambton OPP, Lambton EMS and the St. Clair Township Fire Service responded to an agricultural field in the 2200 block of Oil Springs Line about 11 a.m. after an aircraft made an emergency landing.

The male pilot, who was alone in the airplane, was taken to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.

Lambton OPP said he experienced in-flight problems that forced him to land. There was no one on the ground injured during the incident.

Lambton OPP has cleared from the scene, and Transport Canada has been advised of the incident.

The investigation is continuing.

A pilot in Lambton county suffered minor injuries Saturday, after in-flight aircraft problems forced an emergency landing in an agricultural field. 

Emergency crews, including Lambton OPP, St. Clair Township Fire, and Lambton EMS were called to the scene in the 2200 block of Oil Springs Line, about 17.5 km east of Courtright, around 11 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the male pilot, name and age unreleased, was the lone person on board the aircraft at the time.

He was taken to hospital with minor injuries. No one on the ground was injured.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and Transport Canada has been notified of the incident.
