BROOMFIELD, Colo. — A small plane made an emergency landing at a Broomfield golf course early Wednesday afternoon.

According to North Metro Fire Rescue District, the pilot of a small plane made an emergency landing on the Omni Interlocken golf course. The plane went off a fairway and landed safely.

North Metro Fire said there was a pilot and passenger on board the aircraft.

A witness called in shortly before noon to report the incident.

No fires or injuries were reported — the two occupants were able to walk around and seemed fine, fire officials said.

Crews said there appeared to be minimal damage as a result of the incident.

Officers from the Broomfield Police Department arrived on scene to investigate.

Small plane lands on golf course fairway 

JEFFERSON COUNTY - A small plane went down on the Interlocken Golf Course fairway just before noon on Wednesday.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the plane went down around 128th Avenue and Simms Street near the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport.

According to Jefferson County, two people were on board but are walking around after the accident. They were uninjured.

Broomfield Police and North Metro Fire are on the scene assisting.

The reason for the emergency landing is unknown at this time.
