Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano yesterday appointed Reginald Turner to the Wayne County Airport Authority board.
Turner
is an attorney at Clark Hill PLC and a graduate of the University of
Michigan. He is a past president of the State Bar of Michigan and
National Bar Association and past chairman of the United Way for
Southeastern Michigan. He also was a special assistant to the U.S.
secretary of Housing and Urban Development and a member of the Michigan
State Board of Education.
The airport authority is managed by
seven members. Four are appointed by the Wayne County executive, two by
the governor and one by the Wayne County Commission. All serve a
six-year term.
The board is responsible for Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Willow Run Airport.
