Residents near Langley Air Force Base may hear more than jet noise

HAMPTON -- People living near Langley Air Force Base may hear more than just jet noise this week.

Emergency preparedness exercises will take place from Tuesday through Friday.

During the exercises nearby residents may hear explosions and sirens, and even see smoke coming from the base.

Also, traffic may be slower than normal for those who need to travel onto the base during the training exercises.
