Nextant Aerospace Marks European Delivery of 400XT

First 400XT Aircraft to Be Accepted on the European Registry

CLEVELAND, Aug 28, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Nextant Aerospace, maker of the 400XT, the world's only FAA-certified remanufactured business jet, today announced that it has completed delivery of its 16th 400XT business jet. The delivery was made to a private buyer in the Czech Republic and will be managed by Time Air, a leading Czech Republic-based provider of charter and aircraft acquisition and management services. The delivery marks the first 400XT that will be accepted for European registration.

"We are excited to make the Nextant 400XT available for charter services in the European market," said Martin Prazsky, Managing Director of Time Air. "The 400XT's exceptional combination of highly affordable operating economics, best-in-class range, significantly reduced carbon emissions and noise compliance that exceeds Stage IV requirements makes it the perfect aircraft for the European market. There is no other aircraft in the world like it, and it is a highly attractive addition to our charter services offering."

The private purchaser and Time Air also will work closely with Nextant to provide demonstration flights for prospective buyers in Europe. Beechcraft Sales and Service GmbH (Beechcraft Augsburg) serves as Nextant's maintenance hub in Europe, and will offer a full range of factory-approved services for the growing number of European 400XT owners and operators.

"In just the last two weeks, we have had extremely positive feedback on the 400XT at Brazil's LABACE, the world's second-largest business aviation convention; have announced a 10-aircraft order by a purchaser in Asia; and are pleased to announce that our most recent delivery is to a European customer in the Czech Republic, all of which affirm the 400XT's global appeal," said Jay Heublein, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Nextant Aerospace. "The 400XT is particularly well-suited to the European market, since its 2,003-nautical mile (3,709 km) range enables travelers to reach destinations throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa with nonstop flights."

The latest delivery of the 400XT is the 16th for Nextant, which began deliveries in October 2011 following final certification by the Federal Aviation Administration. Currently, Nextant has orders for more than 80 400XT aircraft, with greater than 40 percent of those orders coming from customers outside of North America. Nextant is forecasting delivery of 32 400XTs by the end of 2012, and will increase its annual production rate to 36 aircraft in 2013 to meet higher-than-projected demand.

The 400XT development process employs a remanufactured airframe from the Beechjet 400A/XP aircraft, enhanced with new, state-of-the-art technology including the Williams FJ44-3AP turbofan engine, the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21(TM) integrated avionics suite, advanced electronics, including high-speed wireless Internet service, and completely rebuilt interiors.

The resulting aircraft has a 2,003-nautical mile (3,709 km) range and cruising speed of 460 nautical miles per hour (740 km per hour). It supports a remarkable 30 percent reduction in operating costs over the Beechjet 400A/XP and fuel efficiency improvements of 20-30 percent, depending on the length of the flight segment.

The 400XT is considered to be a new type in the Aircraft Bluebook. Further options include additional avionics features, and an optional seating configuration that allows for the most leg room of any light jet in production without sacrificing seating capacity.
