Farmer Tests Positive For Explosives At Airport: Farmer Was Detained While Police Investigated

LOVELAND, Colo. -- An 82-year-old Colorado farmer was allowed to board a plane after airport security officials determined bomb-making chemicals found on a suitcase were probably fertilizer.

Larry Bodaness of Brush was detained by security at Fort Collins-Loveland airport security on Thursday after a Transportation Security Administration employee wiped a chemically treated cloth over his suitcase, which tested positive for the chemicals.

According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, Loveland police were called and determined the suitcase was likely coated with a dusting of fertilizer.
