Funeral of North Wales man killed in plane crash to be held

The funeral of a music producer who died in a plane crash alongside his friend will take place this week.

Former RAF pilot Steve Carr, 55, from Ruthin, was killed in the accident which happened on Long Mountain near Welshpool last month.

Businessman, Bob Jones, 60, who owned Mid Wales airport also died.

Father-of-two Mr Carr, who owned a music studio in Ruthin, was described as a “devoted and loving father, husband, brother and friend.”

A family tribute released after the tragedy said: “Our world is immeasurably poorer for the loss of Steve. He was loved, and will be missed, so much.”

Mr Carr leaves behind wife Tara, daughters Hannah and Phoebe, and stepsons Ben and Finlay.

His funeral will take place at 11am on Friday at the Pentrebychan Crematorium in Wrexham.
