Eagle Lake City Manager Keith Webb recently reported to The Citizen in a response to rumors about serious issues between the city and the owner of the parachuting operation in Eagle Lake and said there are no serious issues regarding the subject.

He said there was currently no conflict between the City of Eagle and Todd Bell, the President of Skydive Houston (the parachuting operation in question).

Webb added that during the summer of 2010, Skydive Houston approached the City of Eagle Lake about bringing their skydive company to Eagle Lake.  Bell, the President of Jump Out Express, LLC, a Texas limited liability company, doing business as Skydive Houston, told City Council that he wanted to lease land at the city's airport to build a hangar and several other buildings in which to operate his business out of.
