Angola, Africa: Carianga airport resume activities after four years

Ndalatando – Carianga Airport, situated in Cazengo District, seven kilometres from Ndalatando City, capital of Kwanza Norte Province, will be inaugurated this Friday, in a ceremony to be led by the Transport minister, Augusto da Silva Tomás.

The referred airport, amounted at USD 57 million, reopens to the public after being paralyzed for four years due to the rehabilitation work which aimed at expanding the landings and take-off structure and construction of a hangar with the capacity for four aircraft, among others.

Carianga airport, now baptized with heroic name of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) commander, General Ngueto, will receive small and medium aircraft type Fokker-50.
