Eastern Airways: Boost for business travellers as airline beefs up flights

Eastern Airways is to beef up its services from Leeds Bradford International Airport, introducing more flights to Aberdeen and Bristol.

The airline said the new flights, which will be introduced today, will help meet increasing demand for flights from Leeds Bradford.

Eastern Airways, the UK’s second largest regional airline, has introduced a third flight on weekdays to Aberdeen and Bristol.

Eastern said business links would be strengthened between Yorkshire and the two cities, adding that Aberdeen is Europe’s oil capital and Bristol is one of the south west’s largest commercial centres.

Kay Ryan, Eastern Airways’ commercial director, said: “Business travellers will benefit from our greater frequency of flights as they have more flexibility and choice and can do a day’s business before returning on the same day.

“Our conveniently timed services are by far the quickest way to get to north east Scotland and south west England and save valuable time compared to ground transport alternatives.”

Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford International Airport’s commercial and aviation development director, said: “We are delighted that Eastern Airways is increasing the frequency from Leeds Bradford to both Bristol and Aberdeen.

“The Leeds City Region serves a large population with an internationally recognised financial and legal services industry. Therefore a business friendly schedule linking these important economic hubs is vital.”

Eastern Airways passengers have access to fast track security channels at Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen to avoid queues at security search.

The Humberside-based regional airline is rated one of the UK’s most punctual scheduled airlines and has a fleet of 30 aircraft flying from 21 airports in the UK, Ireland, Norway and France.
