American Flyers: Flight school hosts open house at Morristown Municipal Airport (KMMU), New Jersey.

HANOVER TWP. ‑ American Flyers Flight School at the Morristown Municipal Airport will host an open house and cookout starting at noon on Saturday, November 5.

This free event is designed to bring those with a curiosity about flying small airplanes to the airport for a festive afternoon.

The event kicks off at noon with a free lunch, followed by facility tour given by a certificated flight instructor.

In addition to food, training aircraft will be on display and guests are invited to tour the classrooms, flight line and flight simulators. Each guest that attends will be eligible to receive a certificate for two free hours of instruction in one of the flight simulators. After lunch a flight instructor will conduct a free FAA WINGS seminar, covering pilot-in-command currency and proficiency standards.

Guests are encouraged to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, as lunch is served promptly at noon. There is no need to make reservations and guests are encouraged to bring friends and family.
