Bahrain Air to resume flights to Kathmandu

"The long term vision of the service was to promote Nepal as an adventure tourist destination from the Middle East to its resident western expatriates and local Arab populations."

KATHMANDU: Bahrain Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s second national carrier is resuming its daily flights to the Nepal’s capital Kathmandu from September 21, 2011.

Issuing a press statement on Thursday, the Bahrain Air Company B.S.C. (C) said that the service has been resumed with two classes of service, Business Premium Class and Economy Class. The services also include complimentary meals and extra baggage allowances in catering to the expatriate work force form Nepal to the GCC and Levant region.

Rubesh Mohammed, Country Manager of Bahrain Air, stated that the long term vision of the service was to promote Nepal as an adventure tourist destination from the Middle East to its resident western expatriates and local Arab populations, reads the statement. “These flights will strengthen our hub in Bahrain and will increase feeder traffic to and from the GCC and Levant,” he added.

The Bahrain Air Flights are scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu at 8 am and depart at 8.45 am everyday.
